Your TV, Lights and Screen

Control the TV, adjust the lights, and fix a bad picture.

Written by Bart

The TV, the lights and the screen you hit into are all controlled from the iPad on your wall. Each takes a couple of taps, and there are fixes below for when the picture does not look right.

šŸ“ŗ Turning On the TV

The TV is off when you arrive. The room powers itself up before your session starts, but the TV is left for you to switch on.

Tap TV on the iPad, then tap On. From the same panel you can:

  • Change the channel, by name from a list

  • Set the volume, with a slider

  • Mute it, without turning it off

There is no remote in the zone. The iPad is the only TV control, so there is nothing to hunt for.

The TV has its own volume, separate from your music and from the Trackman sound.

šŸŒļø Watching Golf

Golf is typically on one of the pinned Sports channels.

More sports, news and entertainment channels sit below the favourites. Pick any of them by name, there is no number to type.

After you tap a channel, give it a few seconds. The list pauses while the box tunes, and the tick mark showing your current channel can take a moment longer to catch up.

šŸ’” Getting More Light

Tap Lights on the iPad. There are three switches:

  • Wall Lights

  • Overhead Lights

  • Screen Light

Each one is simply on or off. There is no dimmer, so all three on is as bright as the zone gets. If you are struggling to read the numbers on your clubs, check that the wall and overhead lights are both on.

The screen light also has six colours to choose from, and your zone starts on its own. It lights the border around the screen, so changing it does not affect the picture you hit into.

šŸ–„ļø When the Picture Looks Wrong

If the picture is blurry, or corrupted, you can restart the projector yourself. Tap Help on the iPad, open Troubleshooting, then tap Restart Projector.

Before you do, know what to expect:

  • The Troubleshooting section only appears while your session is running. You will not find it before your start time.

  • It is a full power cycle and usually takes up to a minute.

  • The iPad is covered by a Restarting projector screen the whole time and cannot be used until it finishes. Let it run.

Screen gone completely black? Check the same Troubleshooting section for Audio/Video Off. If it has been tapped, the button now reads Audio/Video On, and tapping it brings the picture and sound straight back.

šŸ’¬ Need Help?

If something isn't working, help is close by.

  • In your zone: tap Help on the wall iPad and scan the QR code. It opens a chat with us and tells us which zone you are in.

  • Chat: use the chat button on our website or in the booking app.
