Every zone has its own Bluetooth sound system. Pair your phone from the wall iPad and whatever you play comes out of the speakers.
šµ Pair Your Phone
On the wall iPad, tap Music, then Connect my phone.
Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap the name shown on the iPad. Every zone has its own speaker name, so match it to the one on your screen.
Play something from any app on your phone.
The iPad has no music of its own, so pick the tracks on your phone and the room plays them. Music, podcasts and video sound all work the same way.
When your session ends your phone is disconnected automatically, so nothing is left paired behind you.
š Adjusting The Volume
There is one music volume, not two. Turn it up on your phone or on the iPad's Volume control and you are moving the same volume level.
If it is the simulator or the TV that sounds quiet rather than your music, those are separate levels. Tap Volume on the iPad and all three sit side by side, each with its own slider and its own mute.
The zones sit close together, so a level you would be happy to hear from the zone next door keeps it good for everyone.
š ļø If Your Phone Cannot Find It
Start pairing again from the iPad, then work down this list:
If you have paired here before, tap Forget This Device in your phone's Bluetooth settings, then pair again.
Check that Bluetooth is on in your phone's settings, not just in Control Center.
Turn Bluetooth off and back on to refresh the list.
On the iPad, tap Help, open Troubleshooting, and run Reset Bluetooth. Let it finish before trying again.
A previous guest's phone is never in your way. Every time someone starts pairing, the speaker clears whatever it was paired to before.
