Extra time is added from the wall iPad in your zone, in a couple of taps. Ending a session needs nothing from you at all, but a few things happen at your end time that are worth knowing about.
⏱️ Adding More Time
Tap Add Time on the wall iPad and pick how long you'd like.
The price is shown before you confirm, so nothing is charged until you say so.
You'll be asked for the last 4 digits of the card you booked with. That's how the iPad checks it's you, and that same card is the one charged.
Account credit isn't used for extra time, even if you have a balance. Extra time always goes on the card.
Your confirmation arrives by email, and by text if you've verified your mobile number with us.
The countdown on the iPad updates itself and the zone keeps running straight through. There's nothing to restart.
🚫 When Add Time Isn't Offered
Extra time depends on your zone being free after you. If someone is booked in behind you, Add Time is disabled. Tap it anyway and the iPad tells you why.
If there's a gap after you but not a long one, you're only offered the amount of time that's actually free.
If what follows is your own second booking, there's nothing to add. The two already run as one continuous session, see Rescheduling a Session.
If your zone is booked behind you and you'd still like to keep playing, message us. We may have another zone free.
⏳ If Your Time Runs Out First
You don't have to catch it before the clock hits zero. The iPad keeps offering Add Time for a few minutes after your end time, and the zone stays powered while it does. Tap it and the flow is exactly the same.
The same condition applies: it's only offered if nobody is booked into your zone behind you.
🧹 At Your End Time
The iPad warns you as your time gets short, and a countdown appears on the screen in your zone near the very end.
The final minute of every session is reserved as changeover time before the next booking, so the simulator screen locks 1 minute before your booked end time. This gives you time to pack up your gear and head out so that the next group can start on time. The lights and sound stay on for a few minutes while you pack up.
Before you go:
Tidy up the balls and tees.
Put any garbage in the bins provided.
Return furniture to their original locations.
Double check that you have your belongings.
Return any loaner clubs and provided items to their place.
